OK so I haven't been to my gym since June 2011 (luckily they allow me to postpone membership) but as we enter February and our wedding is 10 months away I thought I'd better get my ass into gear.
Well that was the plan on 1st Feb until I was driving home from work. Instead of driving to said gym I ended up in a sports shop trying (and purchasing) new trainers and work out attire for the anticipated gym sessions.
That was 2 days ago. My bag remains perfectly packed and has been to work with me twice but we are still yet to cross the gym doors.
I need some motivation!!!! Perhaps I'll go tomorrow.............
A Touch of Pretty
OK so we've set the wedding date and Its deciding between the 'pretty' that will be the hard bit. So as I trawl through pages of ideas, I thought I'd share what I come across in case there are other indecisive soon to be wife's (STBWs) out there! So here it goes....one wedding booked..... 282 days to go!!!

Perfectly Pretty Petals.......
So I'm struggling a little bit to visualise how our wedding is going to look. Our venue is a beautiful Grade 1 listed stately home in the Somerset countryside. It has recently been used for filming of period dramas and ooozes glamour and stately home sophistication which doesn't quite go with with the rustic country feel I first had in mind. I think it is going to be more of a lavish banquet of richness and candlelight than the laid back rustic affair of pale blues we had in mind.
This week I have turned to flowers for a little inspiration. While blues are still up there at the moment I'm feeling an accompaniment of some sort of colour pop is needed, especially as the wedding is in November which is most likely to be a grey day. So here's a small selection of pretty petals we are liking this week......
So it seems the flower of choice are hydrangeas..... PRETTY!
Caterers abandon.....
Responses to our save the dates have began to come in to our
specially created inbox, 9 months left.......278 days to the Big day!!!
So this week we’ve had a couple of setbacks in that our
caterers of choice in our beautiful venue have called it a day on their
relationship with the venue owners. Disappointing...yes! annoying....yes!! and
wasting precious time in our planning schedule? YES YES YES!!!! So until an
alternative is found (we can only use venue approved caterers) our planning is
on hold. Our first meeting with our stylist and wedding planner revolves around
a tasting session and as our venue is a considerable drive (and a day’s holiday
from work) we need to make sure we can accomplish as much as possible in one
sitting.
BUT trying not to let that get us down, I’ve have found some
really pretty things to go on our planning board, I’ve tried a few dresses (not
found the one though) and I have decided, asked and secured all 3 of my
bridesmaids and 2 flower girls. Excitement all ‘round!

Save the dates.....
So our save the dates have just been completed and are in transit to our guests as we speak. I wanted to create something a little different, to give an insight to what our wedding planning looks like (at the moment anyway) and to give a little flutter of excitement as the little beauties dropped on the doormat.
So taking inspiration from these.....
Most of the above were purchased at Hobbycraft, other were created from bits and pieces I had at home.
A couple of hours and a mini production line later save the dates are complete! We like them.
Pretty!
